Registered Line Technician (RLT)

Position Summary
The Registered Line Technician (RLT) is a direct‑support role within the ABA therapy team. RLTs work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and support staff to support the delivery of high‑quality behavioral services. RLTs play a critical role in maintaining client safety, preparing materials, supporting session flow, and ensuring treatment environments remain structured, therapeutic, and consistent.

Key Responsibilities

Client Support & Safety
  • Maintain a safe, structured environment for all clients during therapy sessions.
  • Assist with transitions, toileting routines, meal/snack times, and general supervision.
  • Support clients during episodes of challenging behavior by following safety protocols and BCBA guidance.
  • Monitor clients during group activities, play areas, and structured learning.

Session Preparation & Materials
  • Prepare therapy rooms before sessions (materials, visuals, reinforcers, data sheets).
  • Clean, organize, and reset therapy spaces between sessions.
  • Assist with creating or assembling program materials.
  • Maintain inventory of reinforcers, supplies, and safety equipment.

Professional Conduct
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and clinic privacy standards.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, punctuality, and reliability.
  • Participate in required trainings (CPR, crisis management, safety protocols).
  • Uphold clinic values and contribute to a positive, supportive environment for clients and staff.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities preferred.
  • Ability to lift, move, or support clients as needed (per clinic safety guidelines).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructions.
  • Must pass background checks required by Louisiana Medicaid and state regulations.

Physical & Environmental Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and engage in active play for extended periods.
  • Ability to respond quickly during behavioral or safety incidents.
  • Comfortable working in a clinic environment with children who may engage in challenging behaviors.
